Job Summary

UNFI is seeking a professional Class A CDL Driver to join our logistics team. As a UNFI driver, you will be responsible for delivering palletized products to our corporate and independent retail stores across the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with Federal Motor Carrier Administration (FMCSA) regulations
  • Deliver and unload products utilizing equipment, including tractor trailers, ramps, lift gates, pallet jacks, load bars, and other devices
  • Operate vehicle safely within UNFI guidelines, minimizing accidents, traffic violations, and complaints from the public
  • Report any accidents immediately to the Transportation Manager/Department
  • Keep vehicles well maintained, safe, and secure, reporting any defects promptly using DCVR form
  • Pick up supplies and back hauls from vendors while completing related paperwork
  • Address and resolve customer problems as appropriate
  • Ensure customer orders arrive in quality condition and correspond precisely to the initial order
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of Class A experience required
  • Valid medical card as prescribed by the Federal Motor Carrier Administration and a valid state-specific Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Ability to pass a written exam and road test
  • Basic knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) law and mandates and understanding of UNFI's safety standards
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
