Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment & Staffing: Lead recruitment efforts across all levels of the organization, manage employee onboarding, and oversee separations.
  • HR Administration: Administer the Employee Handbook, ensure adherence to company policies, and manage employee attendance, payroll, and benefits.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a resource for employees to address concerns, resolve complaints, and answer HR-related questions. Bridge management and employee relations by handling grievances and other issues.
  • Performance Management: Ensure timely performance reviews, support employee development, and assist department managers in handling employee issues.
  • Health & Safety: Oversee EH&S operations, including monitoring chemical, physical, and biological hazards, conducting safety inspections, and implementing safety measures for equipment and materials.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations. Develop and monitor emergency action plans and manage hazardous material communications.
  • Training & Development: Facilitate worker training on safety, health, and environmental issues and support the company's compliance programs by investigating accidents and preparing reports.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements, including creating Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) for new and existing processes, managing equipment maintenance, and implementing systems to track and evaluate worker injuries.
Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 7-10 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills & Competencies: Strong employee relations and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization. In-depth understanding of labor and employment law and HR best practices. Experience with HR systems, databases, and compliance requirements for Export Control (22 C.F.R).

Applicants must meet the definition of a US person as defined by 22 C.F.R for Export Control compliance requirements.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
  • Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, and sitting with occasional use of hands for handling and reaching. Vision abilities required include close and distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work Environment: Primarily office-based (75%) with some time spent in manufacturing areas (25%). Moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.
