In the role of Lead Analyst for Strategic Planning, you will leverage your strategic planning acumen to collaborate with leading thinkers in military strategy on various initiatives.
As part of a prominent team within the defense sector, you will apply your knowledge and skills in strategic planning to this client domain, facilitating the development of innovative software solutions to address the most pressing issues faced by warfighters. We seek a contributor eager to utilize their understanding of military strategy and planning to guide the creation of vital tools for senior national security officials.
Key Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in a joint staff setting with military-level operational planning, including the formulation and advisement on strategies to counter Great Power threats and planning in joint and multi-domain contexts.
- Experience in a joint operational framework.
- Familiarity with DoD systems and software.
- Understanding of CCMD policy, strategy, and the structure of regional TCP/TCO, GCPs, CT EXORD, OPLANs, CONPLANs, and Theater Security Cooperation Plans, including connections to national interests.
- Knowledge of U.S. national strategies and policies, such as the National Security Strategy (NSS), National Military Strategy (NMS), Unified Command Plan (UCP), Guidance for Employment of the Force (GEF), and Joint Strategic Campaign Plan (JSCP).
- Expertise in the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP), encompassing mission analysis, course of action development, evaluation, comparison, recommendation, and approval.
- Understanding of CCMD policy and organizational frameworks.
- Possession of TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with JADC2 systems, processes, applications, and requirements.
- Experience in integrating digital engineering into prototyping, experimentation, and analytical efforts.
- Experience with major CJCS exercise design and support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in technical roles focused on designing or advising in software solution development.
- Familiarity with Joint Staff Processes and Procedures.
- Knowledge of DoD software platforms and vendors.
- Graduation from advanced military studies programs such as SAMS, SAW, SAASS, MAWS, BSAP, or ASAP.
Clearance Requirements:
Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
