Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Office of the Secretary of Defense as a Strategic Policy Analyst Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting extensive research on equal opportunity issues and providing expertise on EEO, Disability, and Civil Rights policies. As a key member of the Office for Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity Policy (OCREOP) within the Office of Force Resiliency (OFR), you will serve as a resource on written and editorial policies and practices, advising on the development of appropriate language on highly visible topics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on equal opportunity issues and provide expert advice on EEO, Disability, and Civil Rights policies.
  • Develop and maintain written policies and practices, ensuring they conform to DoD issuance standards and processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and select information to develop language on high-profile topics.
  • Prepare a variety of policies and written materials in a rapid response environment, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship or National status
  • Security clearance as a condition of employment, with the potential for termination if security eligibility is lost
  • Registration with the Selective Service, if applicable
  • Participation in the direct deposit program
  • Random drug testing, if required
Qualifications

Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to a GS-12 level, demonstrating expertise in drafting, editing, and preparing written documents, as well as providing advice on EEO, Disability, and Civil Rights policies. Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
