Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Community Relations Liaison (CRL) serves as a vital link in fostering relationships among agents, brokers, physicians, and their respective networks. This role is essential in cultivating partnerships with these entities throughout the year, particularly during open enrollment, special enrollment, and annual enrollment periods. The CRL actively participates in events designed to provide resources regarding Medicare Advantage plans.

The CRL engages in community outreach initiatives at various venues, including senior centers, adult daycares, skilled nursing facilities, and independent living communities, to educate individuals about network membership benefits. Strategic planning is crucial during enrollment periods for marketing, advertising, and collaboration with internal marketing teams on external initiatives. All promotional activities are coordinated by the CRL in partnership with internal marketing and must receive approval from executive leadership.

A thorough understanding of health plan benefits and formulary drug plans is essential for the CRL, especially during health fairs, senior wellness events, and office visits, where they serve as a resource for patient advocacy, guidance, and referrals to suitable health plan options. The CRL is expected to comprehend contractual obligations and provide recommendations on philosophy, procedures, and objectives as outlined by Dignity Health / CommonSpirit.

Brokers and agents are the primary contacts for driving new and existing enrollment. The CRL is responsible for nurturing a trustworthy relationship with agents, brokers, physicians, and the community, ensuring positive outcomes that align with patient enrollment needs. The CRL plays a key role in establishing necessary relationships and collaborates with physicians to initiate new business opportunities while supporting and retaining existing partnerships.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of 3+ years of experience in marketing and/or sales is required, with a proven track record in direct marketing/sales and outreach. Experience in public speaking to diverse audiences is essential.
- A Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and/or additional job-related experience in marketing, business, or healthcare administration may be considered in lieu of the degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or health insurance marketing or sales is preferred.
- A background as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse is also preferred.
