Job Summary

As a Primary Care Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric care to patients of all ages. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, education, and support.

Responsibilities
  • Provide routine and emergency psychiatric care to patients, including initial assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and medication management
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication
  • Participate in hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
Requirements

To be successful as a Primary Care Psychiatrist, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues. You should also possess:

  • A Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry from a recognized certifying body
  • Licenses to practice medicine in Maine and any other required states
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
Salary and Benefits

We offer an attractive compensation package, including a competitive salary range of $250,000 to $300,000 per year, depending on experience.
