Equipment Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team at Axis Energy Services. This role is ideal for a skilled individual with a passion for maintaining and repairing complex oil field equipment.
About the RoleThis position involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on various types of oil field equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and transmission systems. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical and hydraulic principles, as well as experience working with CAT C-15, Cat C-32, Detroit 14 liter, MTU 16v2000 tier 2 and tier 4, CM 850 Cummins Qsx 15, Allison 750 series, 4750 OFS, 6000, and 8000 series trans. Cotta drop boxes, Cooper right angle boxes, 224 twin disk Air clutches.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in maintenance and repair on complex hydraulic systems, as well as knowledge of open loop and closed loop hydraulic equipment systems. A Class A or B license is preferred, but not required. In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors, and demonstrate safe work habits.
Responsibilities- Maintain and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and transmission systems.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns and issues on various types of oil field well service equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating parts.
- Repair and maintain machinery and rotating equipment, such as motors, engines, mud pumps, drum brakes, draw works, swivels, laydown machines, high pressure fluid ends and power ends (frac pumps).
- Solid experience in disassembly and reassembly of non-working equipment to like-new working conditions.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; Certification from trade or technical school in maintenance or Diesel repair highly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance and repair on complex hydraulic systems.
- Valid state-issued driver license; Class A or B license is preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and hydraulic principles.
- Knowledge of open loop and closed loop hydraulic equipment systems.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
- Demonstrate safe work habits and ability to lift heavy equipment up to 75 lbs.
The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
