We are seeking a dedicated Surgery-Transplant Physician to join our esteemed healthcare facility. This role involves providing exceptional care in the field of kidney transplantation.
Contract DetailsContract Length: 6 months
Shift Details: Scheduled hours and on-call duties
Schedule: 8am - 4:30pm
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting evaluations for transplant candidates, averaging 5-6 assessments weekly.
- Participating in inpatient multi-disciplinary rounds.
- Managing a patient population aged 18-75.
Support Staff: Collaborate with General Surgery and Urology Residents, as well as Nephrology teams.
Coverage Needed: 7 days per month.
Our facility has successfully transplanted 128 patients in the previous year, with weekly operating room volumes varying.
Technical SkillsEMR System: Cerner / DRAGON dictation software
Preferred Skills: Experience with transplant biopsy procedures.
This position is based in a hospital setting, providing a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
QualificationsBoard Certification: Required
State License: Must hold a valid license in WV
Certifications: ASTS Transplant certification is mandatory; ABS certification is preferred.
Timeframe: Credentialing process is estimated to take 60 days.
