Job Title: Director, Event Technology II

At Encore, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Event Technology II to lead our sales and operations team in achieving revenue and profitability goals. This role is responsible for ensuring the team delivers World-Class service while cultivating and maintaining relationships with key venue personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Venue Partner Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels of their organization, providing outstanding customer service and focusing on customer retention.
  • Financial Management & Reporting: Drive Results by managing an efficient and profitable operation, focusing on revenue maximization and profitability using cost control measures.
  • Operations Management: Responsible for the strategic direction of large and small high-tech, high-volume events at the property, ensuring daily floor operations are managed efficiently and in accordance with brand standards.
  • Technical Ability: Act as a resource or point of escalation for technical support for sales and operations leadership team, ensuring staff understands the technical aspects of the job.
  • Sales Management: Hold Sales Team accountable for maintaining a healthy pipeline at all times to achieve established revenue targets.
  • Customer Service: Deliver World-Class Service by cultivating and maintaining relationships with customers, venue personnel, and various Encore supporting functions and departments.
  • People Development: Value People by promoting a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of audio visual experience.
  • 3+ years of operations supervisory/management experience.
  • 3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience.
  • Sales experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of audio visual equipment in a live show environment.
  • Ops 200 & Leadership 200 Certification.
  • Proficiency with the use of computer hardware and software.

Work Environment: The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members will use high-end audio visual equipment and electrical components, and will be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders. Team members may be asked to work in multiple venue locations. Working times will include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
