About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual Application Delivery Engineer to join our team at US Tech Solutions, Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work with a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and Maintain Virtual Desktop Platforms: Design, build, and support virtual desktop delivery platforms based on technical requirements provided by application, systems, and business stakeholders.
  • Administer Scalable Virtual Desktop Infrastructure: Manage and maintain Horizon View desktop pools, application pools, and user entitlements in both private and public cloud environments.
  • Handle Complex Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 3 (complex) issues, providing advanced support and triage of end-to-end virtualized environments.
  • Provision and Configure Infrastructure: Provision and configure VMWare vCenter, vSphere ESXi, Horizon, Unified Access Gateway (UAG), connection Servers, and end-user VDI desktop images.
  • Assist with Critical Patching and Vulnerability Remediations: Assist with critical patching and vulnerability remediations to ensure the highest levels of up-time and respond to system alerts quickly.
  • Document and Maintain Knowledge: Create and maintain documentation, and maintain knowledge of industry best practices and latest technology trends.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in an engineering or computer science discipline or equivalent experience, with 3-5 years of experience in either a Systems Administration and/or End-User Computing role.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in planning, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Horizon View, Connection Servers, and Unified access gateways, with strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 Desktop operating systems and experience with Linux desktop operating systems.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communications skills, ability to analyze, optimize, and troubleshoot system performance issues in a desktop environment, and experience with server hardware, operating systems, advanced networking, and storage providing high performance and robust application platforms.
