Job Overview

Position Title: SOS Float Coordinator (Days)

Reports To: SOS Senior Manager

Location: Denver

Compensation: $23.22-$24.51 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits including 401k matching, fully covered health, dental, and vision premiums; paid time off, holiday compensation, and parental leave.

The SOS Float Coordinator will collaborate closely with the SOS Manager and SOS Assistants to maintain a secure, stable, and nurturing environment for residents, staff, volunteers, and the wider community. This role will assist the SOS Manager in overseeing the operations and programming of the Safe Outdoor Space.

Work Schedule

  • This role requires travel to multiple SOS locations to cover shifts as needed.
  • 40 hours per week on-site at SOS, with 10-hour shifts.
  • Additional time will be allocated for organizational meetings, discussions with external partners, and engagement with SOS residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • SOS Operations
    • Conduct resident intake including wellness screenings and policy overviews.
    • Document daily wellness screenings and monitor resident activities.
    • Act as the primary contact in the absence of the SOS Manager, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • SOS Programming
    • Provide personal support to residents, assisting them in achieving housing and employment objectives.
    • Coordinate community dinners, including volunteer management and space preparation.
  • Conflict Management and Crisis Response
    • Facilitate conflict resolution among residents, ensuring non-violent solutions.
    • Assist in managing incidents of violence or threats, collaborating with the SOS Manager.
  • Metrics and Reporting
    • Perform ongoing data collection and support the SOS Manager with reporting requirements.
