Client Engagement Professional

The Safer Foundation is a social service provider dedicated to supporting individuals with arrest and conviction records. Our mission is to prepare them for employment through various services, including case management, education, and advocacy.
We are seeking a highly skilled Client Engagement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will prioritize client satisfaction, provide quality intake care, and uphold the Safer Foundation's core values. Reporting to the Client Engagement Manager, you will be the initial point of contact for clients in our community offices, responding promptly to all incoming calls and ensuring a seamless welcome experience. Your role will involve coordinating appointments, utilizing the Safer Return 2.0 platform, and providing general administrative support as needed. Additionally, you will be part of the Safer Return traffic control group, responding to online inquiries and determining appropriate pathways for client program enrollment.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should be knowledgeable about behavioral health needs, Medicaid in Illinois, and other public benefits, as well as resources available to formerly incarcerated individuals. Strong data entry skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with electronic database systems are also essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and treat all clients and guests with respect and courtesy.
- Function as a client advocate by addressing their needs and resolving concerns.
- Orient new clients to Safer Foundation, educating them on expectations and rights.
- Inform inquiries and new clients of Safer Foundation's expectations and operating procedures.
- Conduct Safer intakes while upholding confidentiality.
- Respond to Safer Return 2.0 inquiries within 24-48 hours.
