Duties Description
As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse 1, you will deliver professional nursing care to individuals with mental health diagnoses. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of nursing interventions and their documentation, case identification, health education/counseling, and the provision of supportive and/or restorative care. You will engage in staff training, prepare clinical and administrative documentation, uphold infection control protocols, and collaborate as a member of a treatment team. Additionally, you may assume the role of charge nurse on a unit and be accountable for maintaining inventory standards for medications, controlled substances, and narcotics.
Important Notes:
- Failure to maintain your license and/or registration post-appointment may result in removal from the position.
- To be eligible for appointment and to sustain employment, you must not be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any Federal and/or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists (or excluded from any other Federal or Federally assisted program). If you are appointed and later found to be an excluded individual or entity on these lists, you may face termination from your role.
- If appointed, you may be required to enroll as a Medicare provider, obtain and provide your employer with a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number issued by the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES), and actively participate to the extent necessary for your services to be billed through Medicare and Medicaid. Loss of the ability to bill through these programs may lead to termination from your position.

Compensation Information:
The posted hiring rate includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 18, an Increase Hiring Rate, and a Geographic Pay Differential. The overall job rate reflects the statutory job rate combined with the Geographic Pay Differential.
Additional Compensation May Apply Based On Shift Assignment.
Some positions may necessitate additional credentials or a background check to verify your identity.
