Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or designated healthcare professional.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic patient care, including vital sign collection, personal care, and hygiene.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and nurses, reporting changes or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Provide high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team using professional verbal and written skills.
Requirements
  • Recent experience in acute care and/or long-term care facilities is preferred.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with the healthcare team.
  • Understanding of patient and healthcare safety standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of infection prevention and transmission-based precautions.
  • Basic hygiene and activities of daily living care.
  • Feeding, hydration, and nutrition.
  • Ambulation and patient mobility.
  • Use of clinical technology.
  • Compassionate and relationship-based approach in care activities.
  • Accountability for completion of assigned tasks.
  • Escalation of concerns via chain of command.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (preferred).
  • State Certified or eligible to take the state test within 120 days of employment.
