About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Bon Secours. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or designated healthcare professional.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic patient care, including care and comfort, vital sign recording, personal care and hygiene, and mobility support.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and nurses, reporting changes or concerns to ensure seamless care.
  • Deliver high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Accurately document patient care and maintain precise, timely records.
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team using professional verbal and written skills.
Requirements
  • Recent experience in acute care and/or long-term care facilities is preferred.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with the healthcare team and understand directions.
  • Knowledge of patient and healthcare safety standards, including falls prevention, skin breakdown, and infection control.
  • Basic hygiene and activities of daily living care, feeding, hydration, and nutrition, bowel and bladder elimination, ambulation, and patient mobility.
  • Compassionate approach to care, accountability for task completion, and escalation of concerns via the chain of command.
