As a part of an Engineer News-Record (ENR) Top 50 rated firm, the ideal candidate will exemplify leadership, possess professional respect, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and have a robust understanding of construction safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate strategies for utility relocations and deliver coordination services to facilitate the removal, relocation, and modification of utility infrastructures (including water, sewer, gas, electric, and telecommunications).
  • Interpret highway construction plans, drainage summaries, and specifications to assess utility impacts.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of policies, regulations, and engineering standards established by relevant transportation departments.
  • Implement innovative construction techniques while complying with environmental regulations and roadway design standards.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Organize and lead utility meetings with relevant stakeholders, preparing agendas and documenting minutes.
  • Communicate technical information effectively and professionally.
  • Collaborate closely with other design disciplines to identify practical solutions for utility conflicts.
  • Familiarity with the Subsurface Utility Engineering process and data interpretation.
  • Assess cost responsibilities and assist utility owners in developing relocation plans and agreements.
  • Compile utility relocation packages for submission to transportation departments.
  • Create Utility by Others (UBO) and U-sheet plans using MicroStation.
  • Prepare Environmental Permit drawings and narratives.
  • Participate in field meetings and site investigations as necessary.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or equivalent software.
  • Experience with utility accommodation manuals from relevant transportation departments.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for work-related purposes.

Specific Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or education in a related field.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions consistently and safely.

Candidates must possess a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record and the capability to lift up to 50 pounds, navigate rough terrain, and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Availability for night and weekend work may be required.

Compensation Range:
$74,000 - $99,054.00
