Nurse Residency Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Residency Specialist to join our team at SSM Health. As an informal leader, you will create a healthy learning environment for new graduate nurses to develop their skills and progress through novice to proficient RN competency.
The successful candidate will serve as a coach and mentor to assigned nurse residents and international nurses, implementing system-level guidelines and programming to socialize and enculturate them into SSM Health. Your goal will be to promote participant retention and ensure a smooth transition from student to professional practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver nursing residency classes and experiences at the system and ministry levels.
- Participate in nurse residency program development and enhancement as an expert clinician.
- Utilize integrative learning approaches to assist with clinical reasoning and skill development of nurse residents.
- Collaborate with preceptors and nurse leaders to ensure progressive assessment and monitoring of nurse residents and international nurses.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to preceptors and assigned nurse residents, promoting a culture of mutual respect and trust.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Three years' registered nurse experience.
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.
