Froedtert Hospital is seeking a skilled Charge Nurse to lead our inpatient unit. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for patient flow and unit staffing, ensuring the dynamic needs of patients are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Triaging and prioritizing admissions
- Overseeing care coordination for discharges and transfers
- Employing effective decision-making behaviors to balance patient acuity and census with staff nurse availability
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate patient care stay progression and unit goals
- Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or equivalent within 90 days of hire
- 2-3 years of related clinical experience, unless approved by the Unit Manager
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing, or current Froedtert Health non-BSN prepared RNs with demonstrated leadership skills and a plan to obtain a BSN within 5 years
