Provo City is seeking enthusiastic Ice Skating Coaches for part-time roles at the Peaks Ice Arena. We encourage qualified individuals with a passion for community engagement to apply.

What is the compensation?

$8.50 per hour, with payment processed via direct deposit.

What will I do?
  • Provide instruction to participants ranging from ages two to adult in ice skating, focusing on beginner to intermediate levels, while assisting the Figure Skating Coordinator as needed.
  • Support Recreation staff and undertake other related responsibilities as required.
What do I need to apply?
  • A sufficient level of relevant skills and/or experience that demonstrates the ability to fulfill the job responsibilities.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior instructional experience or a background in ice skating.
What are the hours?

Evenings and Saturday mornings.

What are the physical and environmental factors?

This position requires physical strength and agility, including standing and/or ice skating during instruction, as well as minor bending. Candidates must be able to work outdoors in cold conditions and engage with the public in potentially stressful situations.

What is the selection process? This is an open file posting. Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received for any positions available at that time. They will remain on file for a minimum of 60 days. Applicants must meet the minimum requirements listed above to be eligible for consideration. If selected for hire, candidates will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
