Position Overview

The schedule for faculty members may vary each semester, with potential requirements to teach during evenings, weekends, summers, online, in hybrid formats, and through distance education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruct introductory Accounting courses for first and second-year students.
  • Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to fostering student learning, utilizing technology in educational practices, and promoting active scholarship.
  • Deliver courses in alignment with established syllabi, outlines, and instructional resources.
  • Maintain precise student records in accordance with institutional policies.
  • Timely submission of necessary student reports to the appropriate administrative office.
  • Guide, evaluate, and enhance the educational experience of students in line with approved curricula and procedures.
  • Provide academic counseling and support to students as needed.
  • Faculty members are expected to be present on campus for 35 hours each week and engage in professional development, departmental meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other designated activities as outlined in the Faculty Workload and Responsibilities Policy.
  • There may be a requirement to teach classes during evenings, weekends, summers, online, in hybrid formats, and dual credit courses across various locations.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Engage in campus committees as necessary.
  • Promote and recruit for the Accounting program.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, both on-campus and off.
  • Undertake other assigned duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications

A Master's degree (or higher) in Accounting or a Master's degree (or higher) with at least eighteen (18) graduate hours in Accounting.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in online teaching and relevant certification.
  • Familiarity with Blackboard Learning Management System.
