About the Role

As a Lead Data Infrastructure Specialist at Astronomer, you will play a key role in shaping the technology infrastructure that drives our business forward. With a focus on automation and integration, you will help us transform manual processes into efficient, scalable systems.

Your Responsibilities
  • You will strategize and implement integrations and workflows using Okta Workflows to automate core business processes.
  • Evaluate and administer applications, software, and cloud platforms in partnership with business leads.
  • Provide technical assistance, support, and troubleshooting through a ticketing system for the IT helpdesk.
  • Document processes for both the IT department and company-wide.
  • Create purchase orders for IT equipment and manage the purchasing process with an external vendor.
  • Ensure timely onboarding and offboarding of employees by collaborating with HR and management teams.
What We're Looking For
  • A seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing hardware, software, and related technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of IT vendor management principles.
  • Solid understanding of best practices in IT, Systems, and SaaS Operations.
  • Excellent documentation and user training skills.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Independence and ownership of tasks and workflows.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience managing Windows and Intune.
Bonus Points
  • 5+ years of experience in IT, preferably in engineering or senior support roles.
  • ITIL or CompTIA certification(s).
  • Hands-on experience with Okta and implementing Okta Workflows.
  • Startup experience or background in a SaaS company.
  • Familiarity with GCP, AWS, and Azure.

We offer a competitive salary range of $125,000 - $165,000, plus an equity component. This estimate reflects our willingness to consider candidates with varying levels of prior experience. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, qualifications, and fit.
