About the Position

The Developmental Care Professional will work closely with the Program Director to provide high-quality care and support to residents with developmental disabilities. This role involves assisting with treatment planning, providing direct care services, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Treatment Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each resident.
  • Direct Care Services: Offer direct support and assistance to residents in their daily living activities, including daily living skills sessions and socialization activity groups.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident progress, actions, and misbehavior.
  • Transportation: Safely transport residents to medical appointments and laboratory tests as required.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of six months of experience providing direct care services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old pursuant to California Health & Safety Code Section 1562.
  • Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication in English.
  • Certifications: Possess valid RBT training and certification within 90 days of employment, CPR/First Aid/Water Safety certifications within 7 days of employment, and DSP Year one certification within 6 months of employment.
