Maintenance Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities in a rural agricultural environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of maintenance employees, ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and meet industry standards.

• Supervise and assign tasks to maintenance employees.
• Train and develop the Repairs & Maintenance team.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Determine material, equipment, and supplies needed for maintenance functions.
• Coordinate or install, inspect, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other related systems.
• Coordinate major contract work on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other related systems.
• Coordinate schedules with managers and complete employee reviews and discipline actions as needed.
• Exercise cost consciousness with repair and maintenance items and direct cost-effective purchases with your team.

• B.S. degree with an agricultural or construction management focus preferred, or adequate experience in the maintenance field in lieu of degree.
• 3-5 years of experience in the maintenance field, 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Agricultural experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to attend and participate in meetings of various lengths.
• Ability to train, develop, and lead a team of maintenance employees.
• Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with fellow employees/vendors/contractors.
• Computer experience in Outlook, Word, and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational skills and effective time management to meet deadlines.

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
