Job Title: Cloud Solutions Architect

Canonical is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our Alliances team. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for helping our biggest partners understand and embrace our open source platform for themselves and their customers.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Linux, Kubernetes, Ceph, and software automation. You will design and implement solutions on top of public or private clouds, and have a strong understanding of Python and bash. Excellent communication and presentation skills are also essential.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about the latest open source technologies, cloud-native development, and data center technologies. If you have a strong interest in customer-facing engagement, including pitching, demonstrating, and understanding customer environments and needs, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions on top of public or private clouds
  • Architect and integrate popular open source software such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra, and NGINX
  • Help partners to offer and architect joint solutions utilizing Canonical's technologies on top of the public clouds and in the data center
  • Design and publish joint Reference Architectures and perform technical validations with various partners
  • Prepare and run onboarding sessions/workshops with various partners' teams to promote Canonical products and solutions
