Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our robotic systems are engineered for safety and meet market demands. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading cross-functional teams to break down system functions, behaviors, and features into clear engineering requirements for autonomous mobile robots.
  • Developing actionable metrics to assess the performance of components and systems, both in controlled environments and real-world applications.
  • Creating frameworks and conducting trade studies to enhance system designs, balancing performance, safety, and cost considerations, particularly in hardware-software integration.
  • Guiding teams through comprehensive root-cause analysis and resolution processes, employing structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Collaborating with fellow systems engineers to establish verification and validation plans that guarantee the delivery of safe and responsible autonomous products.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and analyzing complex electromechanical or robotic systems.
  • Proficiency in systems engineering practices, including requirements management, systems analysis, and verification & validation processes.
  • Experience in data analysis of test outcomes, employing statistical analysis techniques.
  • A hands-on approach to testing and troubleshooting electromechanical systems.
  • Fundamental understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, suitable for diverse audiences from technical staff to executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in industries such as automotive, medical, aerospace, or robotics.
  • Familiarity with autonomous systems and mobile robotics.
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
