Job Summary

Amergis is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality images of patients using computed tomography (CT) scanners. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients
  • Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
  • Set controls of related equipment, monitor equipment and patient, and make adjustments as necessary
  • Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast, if applicable
  • Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure, and label appropriately
  • May be responsible for scheduling patients for procedures and assisting with some clerical functions
  • Charges procedures and supplies used to the patient record appropriately
  • Loads and operates power injections for contrast media administration
  • Maintains accurate patient records for all procedures performed, maintains patient confidentiality, and adheres to all HIPAA standards
  • Adheres to all Amergis and worksite rules, policies, and procedures
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of experience as a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist preferred
  • Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging
  • A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
  • Current CPR, if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray, if applicable
  • Current Health certificate, per contract or state regulation
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Successful completion of new hire training, as applicable to job site
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
