Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our IT applications department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of all IT applications and services, and implementing technology solutions that improve business efficiency and productivity.

The IT Manager will direct IT application operations to meet employee requirements, as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and the development of new technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the IT application team and vendors, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement IT application policies and procedures to ensure effective and secure operations.
  • Directs and prioritizes workloads and subordinate personnel.
  • Determines the goals of IT applications within broad outlines provided by the executive management and contributes to the continuity of computer services by providing necessary technical leadership and project coordination.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions to improve business processes and support growth.
  • Investigates potential new software applications; installs and supports existing software applications, apprises supervisor about upgrades and or new products that would enhance the company's efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Plan, execute, and manage IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and manage project expectations.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the company's IT infrastructure.
  • Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget for application needs, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and control IT expenditures and ensure compliance with financial policies.
  • Ensure the provision of high-quality technical support and resolve software issues promptly.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of software systems and processes.
  • Participates in all hardware and software evaluations.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure optimal value and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years' experience within the Information software and applications field.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
  • Responsible for overall Integrity of computer systems and network.
  • Performs software implementations, migrations, upgrades and repairs to the software environment and ecosystem of applications.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in project management and cybersecurity processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and data protection practices.
  • Working knowledge of software development processes, application pipelines, and long-term software patching and management processes.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerApps and the Azure software environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2010 server with Multiple Databases.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Services Update Service.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of state-of-the-art computer hardware (personal computers, laptops, printers, scanners etc.) and associated software applications.
  • Availability for on-call support and to address critical issues outside of regular business hours.

Physical Demands

The performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats and hearing protection is required.

This position may require working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

May require walking and standing on irregular, uneven surfaces in an industrial setting and possibly at increased heights climbing and descending ladders and ship stairways.

Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving in an automobile
