Pastry Cook-Rest Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook-Rest to join our team at Good Ambler, a renowned bakery and cafe. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods, including laminated breakfast pastries, quick breads, and chocolate confections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastry products, including croissants, cookies, and cakes.
  • Assist in the production of chocolate products and packaging for holidays.
  • Prepare and serve our cafe menu, including sandwiches, salads, and beverages.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • One year of pastry experience or pastry school required.
  • Food handlers certification required.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
  • Ability to stand/walk for 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to handle/tolerate potential allergens: peanuts, nuts, wheat, eggs, dairy, etc.

  • Hourly range: $19-22, depending on experience.
