Job Overview: The Graphic Designer plays a vital role within the creative team, acting as a key resource for visual design and photography across various print and digital platforms.

This role collaborates closely with fellow creative professionals to design and generate materials for use by CareOregon and its partner organizations.

In addition to creating visuals for both print and digital formats, the Graphic Designer will develop desktop publications, images, presentations, web advertisements, brochures, and will work alongside internal teams, translators, and print suppliers to produce print-ready documents, as well as design and procure supplementary materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Graphic Design: Innovate and suggest design ideas, graphics, and layouts. Execute graphic design tasks that align with specifications set by the Art Director or senior design personnel. Ensure consistency with organizational branding and messaging.
  • Technical Skills: Utilize design software such as InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Acrobat to create and update marketing materials. Prepare print-ready files for production.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Engage with design and production teams, both internally and externally. Contribute to vendor selection and maintain communication regarding project timelines and quality.
  • Campaign Development: Collaborate with writers and other creative staff in the execution of marketing initiatives. Manage project timelines and ensure effective visual communication.
  • Organizational Alignment: Conduct work in accordance with the organization's mission and values. Promote a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of graphic design experience with proficiency in current software including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant design work.
  • Understanding of professional print production processes.
