Mammography Radiographer

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Radiographer to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a Mammography Radiographer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality imaging services for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform mammography radiographic exams on patients, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures.
- Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, administer contrast when necessary, position patients for exams, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure technical quality of images.
- Enter and monitor patient data.
- Perform quality assurance on mammography equipment.
- Assist with initial and renewal applications for ACR and other accreditation.
- Identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.
- Take emergency calls within the department.
- Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications.
- Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.
- Support department-based goals that contribute to the success of the organization.
- Demonstrate commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Graduate of an approved program of mammography technology.
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
- Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required.
- Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).
- Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M).
