Job SummaryThe Outpatient Imaging department is seeking a skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team. This is a full-time staff position with a day shift schedule, requiring flexibility to float throughout the Greater Houston area.
Responsibilities
Perform mammography radiographic exams on patients, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures.
Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, administer contrast when necessary, position patients for exams, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure technical quality of images.
Enter and monitor patient quality assurance on mammography equipment.
Assist with initial and renewal applications for ACR and other reports.
Report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.
Take emergency calls within the department.
Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards.
Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.
Support department-based goals, contributing to the success of the organization.
Serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
Demonstrate commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences.
