Job Title: Senior Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team at TCOM, L.P. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills.

Job Summary:

The Senior Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engineering products, methods, and processes of a technical nature. This position will work independently on moderately complex technical projects while assisting on larger complex projects of a technical nature.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement engineering products, methods, and processes of a technical nature.
  • Work independently on moderately complex technical projects while assisting on larger complex projects of a technical nature.
  • Conduct basic and applied research to evaluate materials and equipment for applicability in design and manufacture.
  • Recommend improvements in testing equipment and techniques.
  • Support the generation of written documentation in a team environment to include engineering drawings, engineering standards, engineering specifications, technical proposals, test procedures, technical manuals, disclosures, and scientific discoveries.
  • Work as part of integrated product teams with other cross-functional professional employees in the execution of engineering functions.
  • Define and analyze the technical requirements for assigned engineering tasks.
  • Generate, modify, and upgrade mathematical models to predict design performance.
  • Use commercial and proprietary simulation tools in developing and evaluating designs.
  • Plan, schedule, and organize assignments with guidance.
  • Acquire information from all relevant sources, including industry and government standards, handbooks, textbooks, and reference manuals.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Follow industry and internal design guidelines and methodologies.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Support internal and customer design reviews.
  • Generate reports, white papers, and technical memoranda.
  • Perform research and analysis of technical issues to develop solutions to meet design objectives.
  • Work to complete tasks within cost and schedule constraints.
  • Provide feedback and make recommendations to improve designs and reduce cost and/or schedule.
  • Conduct testing, develop prototypes to validate designs.
  • Document the design development.
  • Support multiple assignments on different design product teams.
  • Use the infrastructure to accomplish objectives.
  • Support production, testing, and field operations in improving designs.
  • Apply scientific principles, tools, and techniques to achieve practical end results.
  • Maintain engineering skills consistent with advances in technology.
  • Ability to understand all levels of requirements including direct customer negotiation and flow-down.
  • Ability to work with design engineering to develop verification and validation requirements.
  • Experience in the development and ownership of detailed CDRLs (CONOPS, Initialization, etc).
  • Experience designing, integrating, testing, and operating optical, radar, and RF systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, in a related discipline, Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of eight years in developing E/O sensor, communication, and/or radar systems is required.
  • Advanced degree can be substituted for job experience pending review.
  • Working knowledge in system-level development, requirements definition, analysis, and risk mitigation for complex systems used on accredited programs.
  • Experience with Verification and Validation requirements.
  • Experience generating requirements using Model-Based Systems engineering and/or DOORS is preferred.
  • Must have active DOD Secret with ability to obtain TS.
