About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. System Engineer to join our team at Mettler-Toledo. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement software solutions based on SOLID object-oriented design principles.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable, and extendable code.
  • Develop and maintain software unit tests.
  • Analyze and solve complex technical problems.
  • Design, prototype, and develop user interface components.
  • Provide process improvement ideas and best practices for the development community.
  • Develop and maintain software requirements.
  • Perform software testing using formal test cases.
  • Develop and review software development project artifacts and documents.
  • Assist and mentor less senior software development resources.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of software development experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of SOLID object-oriented design principles.
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio,.Net, C#, Blazor, and Git.
  • Experience with web application development highly preferred.
  • Software integration experience desired.
  • Experience with CI/CD (continuous integrations/continuous deployment) a plus.
  • Familiarity with UI design principles and UML.
  • Ability to lead and mentor less senior developers.
