Position Overview
We are looking for a driven and skilled Senior Electrical Engineer, holding a Professional Engineer (PE) license, to spearhead our EV charging infrastructure initiatives. The successful candidate will demonstrate a solid history of designing and executing pioneering EV charging solutions, complemented by robust project management and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate EV charging infrastructure projects from initial concept through to final execution, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and industry regulations.
- Offer expert technical advice on the design of EV charging systems, including site assessment and electrical distribution planning.
- Guide and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Engage effectively with clients, contractors, utility providers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable safety standards throughout all design and installation phases.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in EV charging technology and industry developments, integrating this knowledge into project designs.
- Assist in business development efforts by identifying new project opportunities and cultivating relationships with prospective clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in the area of EV charging infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including the NEC, as well as EV charging protocols (e.g., SAE J1772, CHAdeMO).
- Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong understanding of power systems, electrical distribution, and grounding techniques.
- Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to lead teams effectively.
