Practice Assistant

A prestigious global law firm is seeking a highly skilled Practice Assistant to provide administrative support to a team of attorneys in the Intellectual Property, Litigation, and Corporate practice groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the legal secretary team, including partners, associates, and paralegals in all practice groups within the Austin office.
- Prepare and submit conflicts checks and open new matters.
- Draft new business memos and review and edit prebills.
- Prepare and mail correspondence, submit invoices for payment, and prepare cover letters.
- Prepare and submit expense reports, enter attorney time, and coordinate travel for attorneys.
- Maintain electronic files, attorney contacts, and scanning and printing documents.
- Heavy calendaring, maintaining calendars for attorneys as needed, and maintaining incoming and outgoing mail.
- Prepare documents in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and perform other clerical tasks and administrative projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Two to three years of legal administrative assistance experience, with a preference for Corporate, Intellectual Property, and Litigation Practice Section experience.
- Outstanding client service skills, advanced computer skills, meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, a proactive work style, and exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe ideal. College degree and large law firm experience preferred.
