Job Opportunity

A prestigious global law firm is seeking a highly skilled Practice Assistant to provide administrative support to a team of attorneys in the Intellectual Property, Litigation, and Corporate practice groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the legal secretary team, including partners, associates, and paralegals in all practice groups within the Austin office.
  • Prepare and submit conflicts checks and open new matters.
  • Draft new business memos and review and edit prebills.
  • Prepare and mail correspondence, submit invoices for payment, and prepare cover letters.
  • Prepare and submit expense reports, enter attorney time, and coordinate travel for attorneys.
  • Maintain electronic files, attorney contacts, and scanning and printing documents.
  • Heavy calendaring, maintaining calendars for attorneys as needed, and maintaining incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Prepare documents in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and perform other clerical tasks and administrative projects as assigned.

Requirements
  • Two to three years of legal administrative assistance experience, with a preference for Corporate, Intellectual Property, and Litigation Practice Section experience.
  • Outstanding client service skills, advanced computer skills, meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, a proactive work style, and exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe ideal. College degree and large law firm experience preferred.
