Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Universal Banker Trainee to join our team at Midland States Bank. As a Universal Banker Trainee, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and building strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to current and potential customers.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of banking products and services to effectively meet customer needs.
  • Process transactions, including cashing checks, depositing funds, and issuing receipts.
  • Balance cash drawers and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in sales and product knowledge development to achieve personal and team goals.
  • Assist with deposit account openings and maintenance requests.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to identify their needs and refer business partners.
  • Participate in weekly huddles and one-on-one coaching sessions to stay up-to-date on banking products and services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and achieve business objectives.
Requirements
  • Sales and customer service background.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift and transport coin and currency bags as required.
  • Multilingual speakers are encouraged to apply.
