Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Floor Technician, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the hospital floors through scheduled cleaning routines. Additional duties will include various housekeeping and maintenance tasks to uphold a sanitary and organized environment.

  • Maintain cleanliness of floors in patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and administrative offices.
  • Operate and care for all floor maintenance equipment.
  • Perform daily upkeep of hard surface floors, including mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and refinishing.
  • Collect and transport waste materials, including linens and medical waste.
  • Assist in moving equipment and furniture throughout the facility as needed.
  • Act as a supportive and proactive member of the hospital team.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Experience

  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in floor care.

Education

  • Preferred: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
