Job Overview

Edwards Consulting Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Physician Assistant Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients in the operating room and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical care within the scope of practice in collaboration with staff physicians to critical care patients, including history and physicals, invasive procedures, progress notes, and imaging and laboratory result evaluation.
  • Function as a communication liaison between patients/families, consultants, and multi-professional teammates to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with all office staff to foster a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current Texas Physician Assistant license.
  • Certified through the NCCPA and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience as a PA in the operating room, with a preference for surgery experience, but willing to train a new graduate.
