Advanced Medical Care Provider - Surgical

UT Health Science Center is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Physician Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide advanced medical care to patients in a surgical setting, working closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct complex patient assessments and provide appropriate treatment
  • Perform minor surgical procedures under the supervision of a surgeon
  • Manage pre-operative and post-operative patients in coordination with the surgical team
  • Utilize advanced assessment skills to anticipate complex patient problems specific to surgery
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care
Requirements:
  • Current Texas licensure as a Physician Assistant
  • Current Physician Assistant certification issued by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proficient in the use of medical and surgical instruments and equipment
