Job Overview

Cyntergy is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing refrigeration systems that meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement code-compliant refrigeration construction drawings and documents, including pipe sizing, refrigerant circuit grouping, equipment selection, specifications, and equipment layouts.
  • Coordinate with case suppliers to ensure seamless piping and equipment connections, and work with facility energy management systems to optimize refrigeration design.
  • Stay up-to-date with new refrigeration and HVAC system technologies, and implement optimal equipment selection plans considering installed costs, energy conservation, environmental, and OM&R costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and contractors to resolve equipment installation issues and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to assess and gather information for developing refrigeration system scopes of work.
  • Perform formal walk-throughs with contractors or owners to verify installation and scope-of-work definition.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or 4-5 years of experience in engineering.
  • Preferred but not required: Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Competency in AutoCAD and proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Revit.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a multi-discipline team.
