Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Mercy Council Bluffs Psych Associates. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients with mental health and substance abuse issues.

Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with the Emergency Department team to provide mental health and substance abuse support and interventions for patients
  • Assisting with mental health and substance abuse patient triage and level of care determinations
  • Assisting patients with mental health and substance abuse system navigation
  • Bridging patients from the ED to other services such as Inpatient, Partial Hospital, Outpatient
  • Supporting hospital staff during and following crisis situations as part of our Behavioral Crisis Response Team

Qualifications

To be successful as a Mental Health Therapist, you will need:

  • A minimum of a Master's degree from an accredited educational institution in Counseling, Social Work, Nursing, or other related behavioral health field
  • IA - Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
  • Prefer three years of post-license experience in a mental health/addiction recovery or related field
