Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Support Technician to join our team at UNC Health. As a Clinical Support Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures, as well as procurement of equipment and supplies.
  • Review patient care documentation, identifying any significant changes in the patient's condition and reporting to a registered nurse or physician.
  • Provide a range of clerical tasks, including organizing and prioritizing workload, greeting and directing visitors, researching information as requested by nurses and physicians, reviewing orders for logic and clarity, and maintaining medical records.
  • Perform routine quality assurance audits, safety checks, and inventory of supplies.
  • Provide clinical support assistance, including cleaning the work area, maintaining office equipment, troubleshooting common software and hardware problems, and assisting in the orientation of new employees and students.
  • Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and assisting with ambulation.
  • Measure and record vital signs, patient height and weight, and collect specimens as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
  • Listed as a Nursing Assistant I by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Service
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Prefer one (1) year of related experience or training in a healthcare setting
  • Require exceptional customer service and organizational skills
Work Environment

This position is employed by UNC Health, a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and support.

This position is exempt from overtime and requires a full-time commitment of 36 hours per week. The work schedule is night shift, with a salary range of $22.48 per hour (hiring range). Pay offers are determined by experience and internal equity.
