Job Summary and QualificationsIn this role, you will:
- Rapidly assess and prioritize incoming patients.
- Conduct thorough nursing evaluations and stabilize patients.
- Deliver direct nursing care while supervising non-licensed staff within the RN's scope of practice, adhering to established protocols.
- Provide patient education and follow-up care instructions, ensuring appropriate referrals are made.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse licensure (ASN) from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners; Compact license accepted. BSN required within 24 months of hire.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is mandatory.
- A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care environment, with at least one year in the Emergency Department.
- CEN and/or CPEN certifications preferred.
- AHA or ARC ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
- TNCC/ENPC certifications required within 18 months.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression training must be completed within one year of employment.
