Job Summary and Qualifications

In this role, you will:

  • Rapidly assess and prioritize incoming patients.
  • Conduct thorough nursing evaluations and stabilize patients.
  • Deliver direct nursing care while supervising non-licensed staff within the RN's scope of practice, adhering to established protocols.
  • Provide patient education and follow-up care instructions, ensuring appropriate referrals are made.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure (ASN) from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners; Compact license accepted. BSN required within 24 months of hire.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care environment, with at least one year in the Emergency Department.
  • CEN and/or CPEN certifications preferred.
  • AHA or ARC ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
  • TNCC/ENPC certifications required within 18 months.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression training must be completed within one year of employment.
