Position Overview:

As a Cash Handling Specialist at Bally's, your role will involve processing cash transactions for customers, ensuring the cash drawer is balanced, and engaging with patrons in a courteous and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a vibrant atmosphere that aligns with Bally's philosophy of entertainment and fun.
  • Promote a customer-focused culture by delivering exceptional service and fostering lasting relationships with guests.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards and company objectives.
  • Calculate totals for customer transactions and process cash payouts for chips.
  • Facilitate cash exchanges and manage receipts efficiently.
  • Engage directly with customers for credit applications, either in person or via phone.
  • Collaborate with banks and credit agencies to gather and document patron credit information.
  • Review payments and logs related to markers and checks.
  • Manage customer accounts with returned checks appropriately.
  • Maintain an accurate and balanced cash drawer, coordinating with the vault as needed.
  • Keep detailed records of cash and chips transactions.
  • Operate various cashiering equipment, including credit card processors and coin sorting machines.
  • Adhere to the Illinois Gaming Board's Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program guidelines.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Illinois Gaming Board.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Preferred experience of six months in a cashier or banking role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities are required.
  • Proficiency in using a 10-key calculator and other office equipment is necessary.
  • Above-average math skills for accurate and swift cash handling.
  • Successful completion of a math assessment and color vision test is required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to see, speak, hear, walk, and stand.
  • Frequent use of hands for handling and reaching.
  • Occasional sitting or stooping may be necessary.
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Visual acuity is required for close-up tasks and color differentiation.
Work Environment:

The work setting is fast-paced, characterized by bright lights, loud sounds, and high-pressure situations.
