Cancer Registry Job Description

As a Cancer Registry Specialist at Della Infotech, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of cancer registry data. Your primary responsibility will be to follow established procedures to identify and abstract cancer cases, ensuring compliance with institutional, state, and national guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Abstract cancer cases accurately and completely, adhering to applicable guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and national policies and procedures.
  • Understand and apply standards of the American College of Surgeons.
  • Submit reportable cancer cases to the Nevada Central Cancer Registry in accordance with laws and regulations.
  • Maintain quality control measures to ensure data validity.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday, day shift.
  • Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).

Skills:
  • Quality control.
  • Additional skills as required.

Work Schedule:
8 hours/day, 40 hours/week.
