Emergency Department Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Department Nurse Specialist to join our team at Novant Health - jobshealth in Wilmington, NC. This is a part-time opportunity with a 0.6 FTE schedule, working 48 hours per two weeks, day shift from 7A-7P.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and communicating patient care needs for discharge planning in interdisciplinary care conferences and with members of the healthcare team. They will develop and implement an individualized plan of nursing care with the patient and family that addresses their identified needs and concerns.

- Develops and implements an individualized plan of nursing care with the patient and family that addresses their identified needs and concerns.
- Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in coordinating the plan of care and facilitating patient outcomes.
- Implements and evaluates the patient's response to care through assessment and reassessment and updates the plan of care.
- Provides care based on established standards of practice, policies, and protocols.
- A graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
- A current valid North Carolina nursing license is necessary.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association is also required.
