About the Role

Trellis Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Instructor to join our Weekend Program team in Towson. As an Autism Instructor, you will play a vital role in supporting children with autism in a 1:1 or 3:1 ratio, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to children with autism in a variety of settings, including arts and crafts, games, and community outings.
  • Assist children with daily living skills, such as personal care and hygiene, and promote independence in daily activities.
  • Collaborate with experienced Case Managers to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in Applied Behavior Analysis and autism support.
Requirements
  • Minimum 100 hours of experience working with individuals with developmental delays.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Physical stamina to engage in activities that may require standing, walking, and lifting up to 35 pounds.
