Job Title: Disaster Case Manager

Disaster Services Corp SVDP USA is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Disaster Case Manager to join our team. As a Disaster Case Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals and families affected by disasters, helping them navigate the recovery process and achieve their goals.

Job Summary:

The Disaster Case Manager will serve as a primary point of contact for disaster-affected individuals and families, providing comprehensive and holistic support to address their complex recovery needs. This includes conducting assessments, developing individualized recovery plans, and connecting clients with necessary resources and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct outreach and engagement with disaster-affected individuals and families to identify their needs and provide support.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments to identify clients' disaster recovery needs and available resources.
  • Develop and implement individualized disaster recovery plans, empowering clients to take control of their recovery process.
  • Provide referrals and connections to necessary resources and services, including social services, healthcare, and financial assistance.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure access to necessary resources and services.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust recovery plans as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a disaster recovery case management specific curriculum.
  • Current background check and negative drug test, as required.
  • Able to maintain ethical conduct in accordance with organizational policy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel to client sites.
