Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and process assigned claims in line with the established Terms & Conditions of the respective policies.
  • Thoroughly review medical documentation, invoices, and claims submissions for accurate assessment.
  • Make informed claims determinations, including the assessment and payment of claims.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of policy Terms & Conditions to verify claims coverage.
  • Collaborate with veterinary practices to ensure accurate evaluation of medical records and necessary documentation.
  • Maintain a quality assurance score that meets or exceeds departmental standards.
  • Complete all assigned tasks within specified compliance deadlines.
  • Achieve productivity rates that align with departmental expectations.
  • Provide constructive feedback to enhance standard operating procedures.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of veterinary medical terminology and disease processes.
  • Ability to interpret veterinary medical records and invoices effectively.
  • Capable of identifying both chronic and acute medical conditions.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing multiple computer systems.
  • Proficient in working independently in a remote setting while promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and management.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities to navigate complex veterinary-related scenarios.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of experience as a veterinary technician.
  • A Bachelor's degree in veterinary science or a related field is preferred.
  • Possession of a Property and Casualty Adjuster license in good standing is preferred.
  • Ability to complete and pass state adjuster licensing requirements.
  • Reliability and strong attendance record.
  • Willingness to work a minimum of 42 hours per week, including occasional weekends and additional hours as necessary.

Remote Work Requirements:

  • Access to a reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum of 100 Mbps download and 30 Mbps upload).
  • A quiet, dedicated workspace free from distractions.
  • Workspace must accommodate dual monitors, a laptop, and other necessary equipment.
  • Ability to set up and connect equipment provided for remote work.
