Job Summary

The Armed Security Officer (ASO) is a critical role within Chenega Corporation, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities and personnel. As an ASO, you will be the first line of defense in responding to emergencies, enforcing federal and state laws, and conducting patrols, inspections, and searches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents in a timely and effective manner
  • Enforce federal and state laws, regulations, and policies
  • Conduct mobile patrols, inspections, and searches to maintain a secure environment
  • Initiate detention and transportation of individuals as necessary
  • Perform protective service work, including guarding company property and equipment
  • Control access to company facilities and installations
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and external stakeholders
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum age of 21 years old
  • Two years of service in the United States Armed Services (including Reserve or National Guard) or equivalent experience in physical security
  • Associates Degree in a Security or Law Enforcement related field or equivalent
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Meet or exceed the Minimum Medical and Physical Standards for an Armed Security Officer
  • Pass a background check and initial psychological testing
Preferred Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a police officer's basic training academy
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including MS Office and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
